Happy Halloween from the Number 5 and a Little Blue Monster

Not much is cuter than kids in Halloween costumes...

Sweet sleeping baby.

grandma and grandpa b

Grandma and grandpa B are in town...and the boys are eating it up. :)

U2

For our birthdays we bought tickets to the U2 concert at the Rose Bowl. It was an AMAZING show. The LA Times' review is here, if you're interested. It was even streamed live on YouTube, and I heard that this show was recorded for a DVD - we might have to buy it, since we were there and all.

happy birthday evelyn!

It was a costume party!

calculus, anyone?

Tim taught Benjamin a little about the derivatives of exponential functions and videotaped it so he could show it to his class (with the title "So easy a 3 1/2 year old can do it!") Here's our little math whiz (who, besides a little calculus, can count to 90 in Spanish, add numbers up to 5's, and sometimes even do subtraction. Oh, and he can also read about 20 words and spell several as well. We're thankful for Tim's career and the tuition perks it comes with...)

it's the great pumpkin {patch}, charlie brown!

The boys and I went to the pumpkin patch this morning, where I hoped I could snap a few cute fall photos and to meet our friends the Booths! We were successful in meeting up with them and playing in the pumpkins, and semi-successful in the cute photo capturing situation. I think it would have been better if it weren't so sunny and hot...What is this, July?! ;)
Noah thought the pumpkins were fun to touch.
Jen and I!
My personal favorite...
My boys.
Again.
Benjamin liked holding the pumpkins.

birth photography

One of my favorite things to photograph is the birth of a baby. I did the above photo (click on it to see more) during the wee hours of Monday morning, and I'm definitely hoping to do more jobs like this one!!

not me! monday.

I most certainly did not stay out until 3:30am to photograph a birth, attempt to ignore the talking from the rooms down the hall at 7am, then declare it "pajama day" at our house and refuse to get myself or the boys dressed! And it was most certainly not I who dropped half a grilled cheese sandwich on the floor, then picked it up and ate it...Nope, I wouldn't do such a thing. Nor would I then use my foot to brush the crumbs aside. I would clearly swiffer immediately.

boys

Noah, looking super adorable in his new shirt from the West family - and I'm so excited that it's cool enough for him to wear it!On Thursday, Noah and I joined Benjamin at his preschool for baby days - we played and got to sing songs with all the kiddos.

A shot of my big boy at the mall.
And look who is getting so big and wanting to feed himself!

we love leah!

Leah came to visit this weekend, and Benjamin ate up all the attention she gave him! We had fun eating, celebrating Alex, and playing every day!! Thanks for visiting, Leah!!

fun with my boys.

Benjamin and Noah have been so cute with each other lately. Noah loves to climb on, crawl on, and occasionally walk to his big brother. Benjamin eats up the attention and loves stacking cups for Noah to knock over.
We love going to the park together. Noah enjoys the slide quite a bit!
Benjamin likes the little house.
And Benjamin likes to push his brother in the swings.

disneyland (take two!)

We went back to Disneyland last week (we bought passes during our first visit). This time we went to the California Adventure.
