lazy saturday

Our friends Rachel and Nathan came to visit today - it was fun to go shopping with Rachel, eat pizza together, and talk baby stuff. :)

Benjamin LOVES them...they're on his list of people he likes to talk about and thank God for every night.

Good to see you guys - we'll see you again soon!

six months

Good grief, I can't believe Noah is already six months old! Not much is new - he likes to eat, smile, laugh, and chew on everything. His favorite thing to laugh at: his brother! I love watching the two of them interact - it's really sweet.
And, on Noah's six month "birthday," our dear friends had their second baby! Congrats Sarah, Dave, and big brother William, and welcome Maxwell - I hope I get to meet you before you're too big!

pediatrician visit x2

I don't recommend taking both children to the pediatrician on the same day, especially when they're super busy. At least I wasn't alone.

Benjamin is our little tyke, only weighing 27lbs, 5.4oz, and is 36.5" tall. He wasn't so sure of the whole situation - trying to convince us to put his clothes back on and all. But he did show off and do a jump for the doctor, so we were proud. :)

Noah is 16lbs, 4.7oz and 27.5" long. He was extremely happy during the visit, even though he was missing his nap. He happily conked out in the car after having three shots, though. We're also probably going to have to take him to the allergist, since he had a reaction to oatmeal and they want to be able to rule out other big things.

I am also ready for a nap. At least my voice might be coming back...

Apparently, both of our kids are a good mix of the two of us. This was fun, I recommend trying it!

Benjamin is a boy after my own heart...an organizer! We were playing outside yesterday and he collected sticks, rocks and leaves and had them lined up on the steps:Then we brought his dump truck out and he put all the sticks in it, drove them around, and dumped them out. And the leaf was the driver. I convinced him to let me take some photos as well - I like these:
Noah is working on being adorable - and succeeding, I think!
He likes to grab his toes.
And is nearly sitting up by himself - he starts to tip over or flings himself backwards at times, so he has to sit with a pillow.

santa monica

We went to Santa Monica yesterday and had fun at the pier, took a long walk, and just enjoyed the beautiful weather! Benjamin enjoyed the carousel, airplanes, and trucks; dad played a little pinball, Noah had fun in the stroller with all his toys, and I enjoyed a little window shopping.

Last weekend, we celebrated my grandma's 80th birthday. We had a lunch party with all five of her kids, four of her grandchildren, and four of her great-grandchildren, plus a bunch of her friends. It was nice to celebrate grandma and see all my uncles!
