emma's first birthday party! we had cake, benjamin had fun wandering around and moving rings and tissue paper!

our friends dave and sarah and their 9-month-old boy william are in town! benjamin didn't want this photo taken and sarah was trying to make him laugh...but at least we get to see each other a few more times before they leave! more photo opportunities will come...maybe we'll get some smiles later!
