this little boy turned 2 1/2 on monday!

these days, he LOVES to talk. about anything and everything. he also loves to sing and jump and dance, often all at once. he loves having books read to him, and loves to tell me what happens in the books. he has been very unexcited about eating much of anything these days, but does love fruit snacks, cheese, macaroni, eggs, and nutri-grain bars.

some of my favorite noah-isms:
chicken and sauce = "kickin awss."
asking for help = "help you."
milk please = "mikk puh-weese."
me, getting noah in the morning while he's bouncing in his crib: "noah, what are you doing?" noah: "right here jumping!"

so sweet.

i love these two little boys, and i really hope they stay good friends as they grow up!

my big kid

Benjamin turned 5 a few weeks ago. He is one amazing kiddo.

Right now, he can add numbers with carrying and subtract with borrowing, as well as multiply single digit numbers. He reads pretty well and can sound out just about any word (except some tricky ones). He loves his preschool and can't wait to go to kindergarten! These days, space and the presidents are his favorite topics of conversation, and he will tell anyone who will listen all that he knows. He is about 40 1/2 inches tall and weighs about 36 pounds. He is going to play soccer through the rec center this spring, and I plan to teach him how to swim this summer. Benjamin's favorite shows are "Word World," "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse," and "Chuggington," and his favorite movies are all three "Toy Story" and "Cars." He is a sweet little boy who is kind, funny, and a good listener! I can't believe my baby is five years old!!!

Griffith Observatory

Where do you bring your space-obsessed five year old? The Griffith Observatory, of course! We had a great time - Benjamin loved the huge planets hanging from the ceiling, his first planetarium experience, and finding out how much we weighs on each planet.
