Merry Little Christmas party

Benjamin was invited to a fun kiddo Christmas party at the home of one of his preschool classmates yesterday afternoon.

There was snowflake decorating.And hugs.And cupcakes.And singing!

Brunch with the Bevans.

Jennie and I were roommates our sophomore year at Occidental (and we were next door neighbors freshman year). We had the most fun room of all, where all sorts of singing and silliness happened. We stayed with Jennie, Dave and Claire when we went to Seattle this summer, and they came over for brunch while they were down visiting his family. It works out well that they live near us!

Jennie and I and the kiddos.
I like this one too.I wish I had taken this outside. Oh well.
Girls!
Baby playtime.
Basketball or soccer, anyone?
Eating!

15 month appointment

I took Noah to the pediatrician this morning for his 15 month checkup. His stats: 20 pounds, 15 ounces (7th percentile) and 31.5 inches tall (68th percentile)! Because of his very sensitive gag reflex, he had trouble gaining weight there for awhile, but is now going up up up. We're going to turn his car seat around so he can face forward now, which will make it easier to get him in and out, and I'm sure he'll love looking forward!! He's a happy guy who loves being read to, destroying train track setups, and removing ornaments from the Christmas tree.

family Christmas party

We had our annual Christmas party with Tim's extended side of the family last night. We ate a lot, opened some presents, and had a jolly time together.

I love these that Missy took of Noah and I.

Missy had my camera for awhile and got a bunch of good ones.

Then I got my camera back and shot the pretty decorations.
Centerpieces.
The genius kids' table - covered with paper and crayons.
Abby's pretty wreath.
Sweet Noah.
My Benjamin.
I LOVE this one I got of Lauren.
Sliding!
Benjamin and his best bud Lauren.
Noah, climbing around at the end of the night.

preschool Christmas program

I have seen cute, and it was in the form of 20 some preschoolers singing Christmas songs. With hand motions. And waving at their parents. Singing "Jingle Bells"
Driving their one-horse open sleighs.
Look at all these cutie pies!
Yummy snacks.

ornament decorating playdate!

The boys and I hosted a fun ornament decorating playdate for some moms in our playgroup. I made the ornaments a few days before (the recipe: 1 3/4 cup flour, 1/2 cup salt, 1/2-3/4 cup water - add water slowly until dough moist and not sticky, roll out and cut with cookie cutters and poke a hole with a toothpick if desired. bake at 300 degrees for about 30 minutes or until hard and sound hollow when tapped with a spoon.)

I like Benjamin's gingerbread man.
Noah's! I gave him a scarf. :)Alex and Thomas stayed for a bit longer, since she had driven all the way from Long Beach and all. :)And here are some of my sweet boys, playing away.
