from this morning:

the park and mapleview farms

today tim ran from duke to mapleview farms, a dairy farm with a store that sells the yummiest ice cream. so, rachel, benjamin and i went to breakfast at panera, then to cedar falls park, where benjamin LOVED the swings, slide, and playing with the leaves.

the pumpkin patch

we went to the ganyard hill farm pumpkin patch yesterday with my friend rachel. we went on a hay ride, romped through the corn maze, pointed at the animals, and played in the pumpkins!

tim's brother andy and his wife melissa were in town, so they came to stay with us for the weekend! they went to the state fair on saturday (i had a photo shoot scheduled, so benjamin and i will be going next week with my friend rachel). we also went out to chili's for dinner (yummy!) on saturday night.

we're back!

benjamin and i are back, after 10 hours of flying (over a couple days, though), a cold, and a dentist appointment (for me). he did great on all the planes, we had fun in maui (though the sand was not a hit this time!). here's what we did:
monday (10.01) we arrived, and benjamin played for a little while and then went to bed.
tuesday we went to breakfast, then mom and i went to lahaina for a little shopping.
wednesday we went to the beach, then the pool (the pool was a bigger hit!), then dad and i went snorkeling (and saw a huge green sea turtle!)
thursday and friday mornings we did some more shopping (benjamin was such a trooper!), and those afternoons we spent at the pool. we attempted another beach on friday morning as well, but that didn't last too long. the weekend was more relaxing by the pool, reading, and generally just enjoying the beautiful place! mom's flight left around noon on monday (yes, we had to take a different flight, thank you united...), so dad, benjamin and i went to lahaina and kaanapali and walked around, had lunch, and just relaxed before our red-eye flight back to san francisco! here are some of my favorite photos:
