Benjamin is playing soccer this year and is super excited! His team is the Awesome Orcas, and I cannot wait to see him running around in his cute little uniform! :)

two friends got married on the 20th, and we had a great time witnessing their special day! i didn't get any photos of the people actually getting married (oops!), but did get some good ones of the girls from our small group! :)

it was a super hot day, and i was thankful that i had popsicles in my freezer! i think benjamin and noah were too...

it has worked out well for us that my college roommate married a man who grew up in the city right next to us. his family now lives about 20 minutes from us, and we get to see them every time they visit! win-win! :) 

i was excited to photograph their family and then we got to visit with them for a bit. it was fun to watch the kids play!

summer sounds at the hollywood bowl

we learned about the summer sounds program from tim's wonderful cousin missy, and i'm so glad i did this with the boys this year!! there are three performances over a 6-week period, and after each the kids got to choose an art project related to the performance. the last one was Irish music & dancing. i will definitely be doing this next summer!!

disneyland!

Earlier this month, one of my former students (from NC!) who was interning at Disneyland got us in for free! (Thank you Chiara!!) We had a blast - it wasn't super crowded in the morning, not super hot, and the boys LOVED it!! (and mom and dad did too)
